What does a healing artist do? Is it Reiki? What is CHILL? These are the three questions that healing artist Val Oliver gets asked the most about what she does.
Here’s her answer: “I begin with muscle testing (health kinesiology) to ask your body questions to gain information about your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual needs and which techniques from my healing palette will best accomplish addressing them. CHILL stands for Chumpi Illumination. Chumpis are sacred stones from Peru that I use to balance and resolve conflicts that often lead people to unhealthy coping mechanisms like addictions, disease, and thoughts of suicide. I recognize these as symptoms, blocks and entanglements from which people want and need to heal so they can re-create themselves and become at peace.”

Val is a graduate of a two-year healing arts certification program at Sacred Center School for the Healing Arts in Warwick, NY. She was mentored by a medicine man of the Lenape Turtle clan for two years, and has been mentored by a female healer/shaman for over six years.
